< What Do We Know About Power? >
Is the world gradually becoming a liberal democracy, as we think, or is the capital leading society into a new colonialism in another way?
The curatorial team from the University of Leeds MA students selected collections from The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States.
This exhibition tried to use objects that once symbolized royal power, aristocratic privileges, and family power and compared them with the same contemporary objects.
Same Thing, Two Stories not only present one opinion but try to conduct a critical analysis of two opposing concepts, it may talk about the symbol of decentralization but also could include the possibility that power will become a new colonialism.
In the end, we hope that the audience will form their own thoughts through both viewpoints.
